AMA Report Show Physicians Vital to Pennsylvania Economy
A new
report released by the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) shows that office-based physicians play a vital role in Pennsylvania’s economy by supporting jobs, purchasing goods and services and generating tax revenue. In 2009, office-based physicians in the Keystone state contributed $44.7 billion in economic activity and supported nearly 170,000 jobs.
According to the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED), the AMA report further proves the vital role of our state’s physicians in helping local communities with economic recovery. Read more
