Membership Services & Benefits Task Force

The county medical society membership task force was formed to address specific goals outlined in the society’s strategic plan. The task force evaluates and implements programs that address physician needs within the profession and practice. MCMS should serve as the “go to” source for physician practice concerns in Montgomery County and strive to increase member and non-member knowledge of all services available.

Membership Has Value
The county society works together with the Pennsylvania Medical Society to provide needed benefits. Young physicians, under 45, can receive reimbursement for CME courses through the MCMS Howard F. Pyfer Fund. Your Speakers Bureau gives you an opportunity to speak to local groups about various health-related topics. Your Medical-Legal Committee provides a forum for you and attorneys to discuss issues of common interest. All members receive discounted rates through our endorsed vendors PMSLIC and USI Affinity. PAMED offers patient safety and risk management CME and several publications to keep you informed about political, practice management and patient issues. PAMED provides guidance on physician reimbursement challenges through its Practice Economics & Payer Relations Department and so much more . . .

Physician members are encouraged to get involved. Contact the medical society’s executive director for more information or call (610) 878-9530
