The county medical society political task force was formed to address specific goals outlined in the society’s strategic plan. The task force influences and advances medicine’s concerns to Montgomery County’s local, state and federal public officials. In an effort to develop collaborative relations, task force members meet with county legislators and public health officials to discuss issues that affect the practice of medicine throughout the year. Physicians believe in meaningful liability reform, fair reimbursement and access to safe and quality care for all patients.
Annual Legislative Dinner
MCMS hosts an annual dinner with Montgomery County
legislators in Harrisburg. The informal setting gives physicians an opportunity to communicate and collaborate on key medical issues that affect physicians,
legislators and most importantly the citizens we serve. Both professions want what’s best for Pennsylvania residents, quality care for patients and a healthy, vibrant environment for the medical professionals who care for those patients.
Physician members are encouraged to get involved. Contact the medical society’s
executive director for more information or call (610) 878-9530.
